Pretty powder but not much pigment or mattifying

I was really excited for this pressed powder and the beautiful packaging design did not disappoint. However, I'm unhappy about the powder itself - it doesn't really make my face more matte and it's very difficult to have the product show. I've tried using the included puff, my fingers, a brush but I see no difference on my face. Another thing I don't like is the puff is underneath the powder and the tray is VERY hard to open up, even with the little crack to make it easier. I prefer to turn it upside down and open it from the bottom but then the puff can fall out.

If the pact structure was more thoughtfully designed and the powder gave more of a visible effect, I would give it more stars.
