I read someone else describing this as smelling like scratching the inside of a grapefruit skin with your fingernail, and I honestly think that describes it perfectly! It's very fresh and juicy but a little sour/bitter, like real citrus zest. There's some other notes in the background that make it more complex but the main note is definitely like peeling a grapefruit.

The bitterness does go away a bit on the dry down but it's still a pretty intense scent, so I'd recommend spraying this on skin rather than clothing.

Overall it's unlike any of the other perfumes I have so I enjoyed trying it! If you're sick of super sweet floral scents and want something more unique and intense, it's worth a shot.

It's unique, when you first spray it's kinda peppery smelling but once it sets it's very floral and clean smelling

I purchased Midsummer Fig because I thought it would smell very unique and interesting, however, while the bottle is beyond beautiful, the fragrance is a bit disappointing to me. The lemon and cedar notes overpower just about everything else in the composition, which is kind of surprising given that it has jasmine in it, and jasmine notes of all things tend to stand out. This is not a bad smell and if you’re a fan of cedar, I highly recommend this one, but if that doesn’t sound like something you’d like, I would suggest another one of FK’s phenomenal fragrances.
